About Pammal Sankara Eye Hospital
Established in 1994, Pammal Sankara Eye Hospital transitioned to an exclusive eye care facility in 1997.
As a Tertiary Eye Care Centre and an Academic & Research Centre, the hospital has screened over 1,932,000 individuals and performed 277,187 surgeries, with 80% of these surgeries provided free of charge to those in need.
Comprehensive Ophthalmic Services:
SEH Pammal was founded as an eye care facility in 1994 and later became a dedicated eye hospital in 1997. Over the years, it has grown into a Tertiary Eye Care Centre as well as an Academic & Research Centre. To date, SEH Pammal has screened a total of 19,32,000 individuals and conducted 2,77,187 surgeries, with an impressive 2,22,180 of these (80%) being provided free of charge.
SEH Nanganallur, established in 2004, operates as a Secondary Eye Care Center. Since its inception, it has screened 40,168 people and performed 1,091 surgeries, contributing significantly to eye care services in the region.
In 2016, SEH Samarjhola was set up in Odisha as a Tertiary Eye Care Center. Located on a sprawling 4.5-acre campus, it has screened 1,45,210 individuals and carried out 6,997 surgeries, with 57% of these surgeries being offered free to patients.
The Vision Center in Perambur, which began operations in 2015, has screened 6,368 people and performed 341 surgeries since its establishment, playing a vital role in providing accessible eye care to the local community.
