2005 – A Beginning

In 2005, with the blessings of HH Pujyashri Shankaracharya Swamigal, a free outpatient (OP) clinic was inaugurated at the Kanchi Math Paduka Mandapam in Alipiri, Tirupati. Initially established to support a proposed medical college, the center has evolved into a vital outpatient facility offering services in General Medicine, Ophthalmology, and Dental care.

Locally known as the Kanchi Matham Hospital, the center charges a nominal fee of ₹20/25 for consultations and provides free medications. Although operations were temporarily halted during the pandemic due to regulatory restrictions, the center is poised to resume its services.

A New Building

To expand its reach, a plot was secured on a 33-year lease from the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) for constructing a new medical facility. Situated directly opposite the existing Math, the new outpatient center has received all necessary approvals, and construction is progressing.

Interior plastering is complete, and exterior work is underway. The inauguration is anticipated around Adi Sankara Jayanti, with the Gruhapravesham ceremony scheduled for June 4th, marking the commencement of operations.

A Dedicated Service Facility

As per the vision of His Holiness, the Sri Kanchi Matam Medical Center will function as an independent service facility under the auspices of Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam, offering free medical services supported by generous donors.

Support Our Mission – Contribute to Vaidya Seva at Tirupati

The center’s dedicated team comprises four doctors, four assistants, two service staff, and two maintenance workers. Operational expenses, including salaries, medications, utilities, and other costs, total approximately $4,500 per month.
